Amazing cafe at the Danish Art Museum

I saw this ceiling in a building that I wandered into yesterday.  The birds are raised plaster, I think.  Just thought it was really beautiful.

Kobenhavn

I got in on tuesday morning at 6:30 and got to watch the sun rise over the city as I rode the train into town.  My first few days have been a bit of a blur.  I've been walking around a lot, exploring the neighborhood I'm staying in right now before I move into my more permanent home.  I really love the city, there is a beautiful building or sculpture everywhere you look, cobblestone streets, SO MANY bicycles! (and lots of stylish people riding them).  It's been cloudy and hovering around freezing since I've been here, but it seems to suit the city, though I'm sure it will be beautiful in the sunshine, too.

I've been to the Danish National Art Museum, The SAS Royal designed by Arne Jacobsen (not as impressive as I thought), The Royal Palace, the botanical gardens, Illum (the big department store), and multiple hotdog carts.

It's been fun being a tourist, but I'm also really excited to start school.

favel!

Just as I'm leaving it starts to get good!  But I'm glad that our country is in capable hands.
Here's a photo from the inauguration last week.  It was a really amazing experience, I'm so glad I went!
