I got in on tuesday morning at 6:30 and got to watch the sun rise over the city as I rode the train into town.  My first few days have been a bit of a blur.  I've been walking around a lot, exploring the neighborhood I'm staying in right now before I move into my more permanent home.  I really love the city, there is a beautiful building or sculpture everywhere you look, cobblestone streets, SO MANY bicycles! (and lots of stylish people riding them).  It's been cloudy and hovering around freezing since I've been here, but it seems to suit the city, though I'm sure it will be beautiful in the sunshine, too.

I've been to the Danish National Art Museum, The SAS Royal designed by Arne Jacobsen (not as impressive as I thought), The Royal Palace, the botanical gardens, Illum (the big department store), and multiple hotdog carts.

It's been fun being a tourist, but I'm also really excited to start school.

  1. Nice photos! I'm glad we got to talk today. I have your blog bookmarked and will check everyday.

  2. Hi Barrett Sweet photos! This is such a strangely comforting feeling- to be able to check in on each other from far away. I'm a follower of your blog now so I'll be chhecking it out often as well! Hope you had a good day today...!
